Did you know? The Young-old & the Old-old

I thought I would share something really interesting (at least to me!).

Did you know that the term "Elderly" is defined into three categories?
Age 65-74 = "Young Old"

Age 75-85 = "Middle Old"

Age 85+ = "Old Old"

I had no idea that once you hit 65, you are now considered "Young", it's almost like high school.  I guess in many retirement communities, based on your "Age" status you have very different voting patterns etc.. vs. someone who is "younger."  This actually can cause discord and complications in these retirement communities.  Sooooo, no more should be fear "getting old" because we will technically be "young" and Sophomores once we turn 65!  It is really once you are 85 that you are actually "old" and hence a Senior!
